• OR to embed an in-text link on a page (one that does not become an asset) - write the text that you want to link and then click on the "link icon" in the rich text editor to embed the link on that page.
  

To ADD A DATABASE into your Guide:

1. Select Database from the Add/Reorder box.
   
2. Type in the database you need and hit enter.
3. It will show up as a bulleted item. (see below)

OR...write the name of the database and link it with the link option. (see adding links box above)

To add a book from the catalog, select "Book from the catalog" in the Add/Reorder drop down menu:

• BEFORE creating a "new" asset for the book, PLEASE first check the "Reuse existing book" option, and search for the title (or author, etc.) to see if the book is already there.
  
• IF you really do need to create a NEW book, keep in mind that it instantly becomes an "Asset". Here's how to do it:

1. Enter the ISBN for the specific book.
2. Click the "Get Book Info" button and the rest of the book information should auto populate, including a picture of the cover.
3. Delete the Publication Date (this is accessible through the link and is not usually necessary)
4. Call Number is not usually necessary (you are creating a direct link to the catalog where this can information be found)
5. A description is not always necessary. If you do add one, you can copy and paste the description from the Primo record. Later, you can choose to display the description, hover, get an info button, or hide it. This option is editable even if you are reusing the Asset in a guide.

Just like links, you can add media by embedding the code or by copying the link.

To add:

• Select the Media/Widget option from the Add/Reorder box

• Make sure you are using COPYRIGHT FREE, CREATIVE COMMONS, OR OTHERWISE OPEN SOURCE media. We want to model good practice in this regard.
• Cite and give credit if it is not already clear from the source.
