SVCs Databases provide in-depth and stable information that is not always available on the Internet.

They provide searchable online content, accessible by by keyword, and provide citation information.

Log in to these databases with your MySVC/Canvas Username and password

(example: first initial, whole last name, last 4 digits of CTClink#@mysvc.skagit.edu + password)

Suggested SVC Databases

ABI/INFORM Trade and Industry

  • Searches more than 1200 business periodicals with a trade or industry focus. It provides users with the latest industry news, product and competitive information, marketing trends, and a wide variety of other topics. It contains publications on every major industry, including finance, insurance, transportation, construction, and many more.  Most of these publications are full-text on the database. 

Academic Search Complete

  • Provides access to a variety of article databases including: Business Source Premier, Regional Business News, Regional Business News Plus, and Small Business Reference Center

WOIS

  • Updated WOIS database, now called CIS 360. Helps users plan career and educational choices. This page allows new users to create an account or returning users to log into the CIS 360 system
