After checking SVC Library databases, you can also try to find scholarly sources from Google's Advanced Search option which provides ways to fine tune a search in order to find more specific results. 

To find scholarly articles these steps are especially helpful.  To see the differences, try comparing results with a general Google search for "workplace violence" with the Advanced Google Search example below. 


Our search is for workplace violence in the nursing world.  We want to include all important terms but may want to also exclude some.  Here is an example of how to develop a search using the Advanced Search options:
