Course Reserves

Because the library buildings will be closed, we will provide only quarter-long checkouts of classroom materials.

  • Fill out this form to put materials on course reserve.
  • To locate distribution dates for library materials, see the checkout scheduler.
  • We will have different distribution dates for BEDA programs to coincide with their start of the quarter.

For information, steps, and tutorials related to incorporating library resources and freely-licensed open educational resources (OER) into your course, see the Library Module of the Online Excellence Canvas course

Temporarily free course materials

Many vendors of subscription materials are making content free during the pandemic. Search the various journal, textbook, and video repositories for course materials. Note these materials may not remain free once the health crisis eases, but the libraries will do what we can to work with you to sustain access. If you have any questions, please contact us at mv.library@skagit.edu

Openly licensed course materials (free forever)

Open educational resources (OER) are always free! If you're working to transition or rebuilt your class online and you want to use materials that you can keep forever, search for OER, which are openly licensed. Your librarians can assist with understanding, finding, using, and modifying OER.
