    IATEFL's mission is to "link, develop and support English Language Teaching professionals throughout the world." The organization has over 3500 members in more than 100 countries. The website includes information on IATEFL conferences, events, special interest groups and scholarships.

    TESOL’s mission is "to develop and maintain professional expertise in English language teaching and learning for speakers of other languages worldwide." TESOL has approximately 100 affiliate organizations in over 45 countries. The site includes information on TESOL committees and interest sections, news, publications, educational resources, issues and advocacy, careers and conventions.
